For most of my life, I have struggled with my weight and food. In the past, I've always been able to shed pounds with a bit of elbow grease -- regular exercise plus watching what I eat. This past year or so, however, it has been close to impossible. Maybe it's because I am much older. Maybe I just don't have enough self-control when it comes to eating. 

I've Never Been One for Twinning, But...

For sure, you've seen people wearing the same clothing and posting it on social media with "twinning" somewhere in the caption. I've never been one for this thing, but I guess recent events have made me more sentimental.

This week has been one of the most trying times of 2020. That's not to say that rest of the year has been easy. We all know it hasn't, but for me, this week just seems to be full of little things that add up to make my muscles clench, my mind race.

No doubt about it, there are days when life seems to be one unending slog. It's probably exaggerated these days, with the inability to travel (which, if you know me, is not a small thing).


This past couple of weeks have been a lesson on accountability (among a few other things, but that's a story for another post). I signed up for a program with a nutrition coach because I have been unable to control myself when it came to food.
