The past few weeks have been a blur, mainly because I was caught up in preparations for traveling and then the traveling itself. There is, of course, concern regarding this blasted virus. Then there is the sense of no support (understandable).
But I've settled somewhat in the first (or 1.5) leg of this long(ish) trip, and I have to say I have no regrets. LA was a revelation in more ways than one. Arizona is gorgeous.
And while I miss my nephews, my friends' kids are too precious. And they love Peppa Pig. They are celebrating their birthdays within a week of each other, and well, yes, it's all about Peppa Pig.
It made me think -- how is it that this British cartoon has taken the world by storm? And literally the world. From the East to the West, and everything in between, kids seem to be fascinated with Peppa Pig and her world.
Even though it has been banned some countries -- a specific episode in Australia for the dangers it poses due to saying "spiders can't hurt you"...we know that a LOT of creatures in Australia CAN kill you...
In any case, my world is full of Peppa Pig right now, and I never thought I'd say it, but I'm not complaining.
If there were Peel and Stick Wallpaper with this kid cartoon phenomenon, we'd have had it, I'm sure.
This leads my thoughts back to buying a place I can call my own -- as I shared in a previous post. I will be on the road for a few more months, so decorating a home -- as a renter or owner -- isn't a reality at the moment, but seeing and living in other people's homes also inspires.
Peppa Pig decor aside, I really enjoyed this home I visited in Redondo Beach. Gorgeous. It reminded me of my ultimate home goal -- to have a beach house of my own. Somewhere in the tropics, of course. And, a bathroom decorated along these lines with uber convenient temporary wallpaper from Astek Home.
It'll be a while till this dream comes true, but in the meantime, there is nothing wrong with planning and dreaming, no?
