Things I Miss

It seems to me that the past couple of months have flown by, leaving memories of blurry days bleeding onto each other. It's not that they were bad, but they were certainly not free of stress. I am not complaining, mind you. In fact, I am rather grateful that a lot of work has come my way. I am very grateful that I have a roof above my head and that I am able to make ends meet and still enjoy myself now and then.

I have to also admit, however, that I miss some things. And when I say things, I mean the little pleasures in life that are not essential but nonetheless enjoyable. Think shopping for pandora beads...lounging by the pool for an entire weekend...enjoying dinner at a quiet but nice restaurant...I indulge myself for a short while as I think about these things tonight.

Red wine

I have always enjoyed a nice glass - or two - of red wine and this is one of the best I have had. There is no doubt about it - red wine is best enjoyed at the end of the day. The ensuing relaxation is hard to match!

I think it has been more than two months since I have enjoyed red wine. Note to self: this has to be rectified soon!

Freshly baked bread

This picture was taken in Moalboal, Cebu when I went there for my birthday. The resort made their own bread, and it was just wonderful! There's always decent bread within reach at home, but freshly baked homemade bread has been rare lately.

The beach!!!

This was also taken in Moalboal, at the White Beach. There were too many people when I went to this beach for the day, but it was not hard to find a relatively quiet spot. That was way back in March...I really do need the beach, and it can't be soon enough.
