I can't imagine going for more than two weeks without a massage. I think I might have gone longer than that, although it is rather unlikely. There is just something about having a massage that makes me feel better - inside and out.
It's not just a self-indulgent habit, you know. Studies have long shown that massage is good for us - as long as the person giving you the massage knows what he or she is doing. Honestly, if I could give myself a massage the way good masseuse(s?) do, I would take up a massage therapy program online. Then again, I don't know if I can stand having to exert all that pressure for more than a minute!
So why is getting a massage good for you?
- It loosens up the tense muscles in your body.
- It releases endorphins that make you feel good.
- Did I already say it makes you feel good?
